Local Business Duraclean Services LLC. Needs Your Support

The new coronavirus has changed life for all of us. Local businesses have taken a huge economic hit, but communities are finding creative ways to support the establishments they know and love.

In an effort to help local businesses in our communities stay connected and succeed, Patch will shine a light on some of them through a series of Q&A articles during this time.

Duraclean Services LLC. is one of the businesses in town facing struggles during the coronavirus. You can lend your support by reading more about the company, below, and by contacting them here.

Tell us about your business and its history in your town.

Duraclean started as a carpet and furniture cleaner in Bel Air in 1986. For several years we focused on residential and commercial cleaning in Baltimore, Harford and Cecil counties. In 1997 Duraclean started getting request to help customers with water damage in their homes from some large storms that hit the area.

Duraclean quickly got its certification and bought the necessary equipment to assist the people in need. We expanded our emergency services to include the cleanup of fire and mold damages. Our business really took off when we added those services as we quickly became the company that local insurance agents and adjusters would recommend to their insured.

In 2010 we added another service which meant applying for and receiving our General Contractors license. This gave us the capability to help customers from the beginning of an emergency through the last nail getting hammered in to get a home back to pre-damaged condition.

How has the new coronavirus impacted your business and its employees?

Many homeowners are now hesitant to allow our crews to enter their homes so business has really fallen off in the last couple of weeks even though we are considered an essential business. If this continues, we may not be able to keep our full staff employed through the duration of this crisis.

Duraclean has implemented many strategies to help insure the safety of employees and customers to help prevent the spread of the corona virus. If you have a need for our services we will do everything necessary to protect everyone. Putting off cleaning potential hazards in the home caused by water, fire or mold damage can cause potentially serious health issues for occupants in its own right.

How can local customers support you now and in the future?

We have always been there for the local community to handle emergencies for homeowners. We are still here and are trained in situations that require care to keep areas safe for occupants while mitigating damages to property. If a need arises, please call Duraclean and we can discuss the situation that you are dealing with. With the precautions that we have in place, I am confident that we can help even with all the concerns of the virus.

Do you have any words of encouragement for your community?

If we all do our part in following the regulations given by our state and federal government we will get through this pandemic sooner with less illness and casualties. As tough as these regulations are let's all do our part.

Are you offering any special services, promotions or hours during this time?

We provide cleaning services for residential and commercial buildings that will help protect people from the virus. We have some of the strongest anti-microbial cleaners at our disposal to wipe down all flat surfaces and high touch areas such as door knobs. We can price this service out as a daily service for occupied areas or for places that need to be cleaned while not occupied for future re-openings.

Are there any other outstanding businesses in town you think deserve some community support?
