Local delivery program continues to provide supplies to Duncan organizations

Sep. 4—When a request is heard, a need is met in Stephens County. That motto rang true thanks to a local food and supply delivery program in Stephens County.

One nonprofit, Life's Hope, a humanitarian relief organization that cares for human needs locally and around the world, continues its mission to assist area needs. Recently, they flooded several nonprofits with deliveries from their local supply chain.

A semi truck carrying a full load of various food packages and other items delivered 24 pallets to about 10 organizations.

This recent delivery included items such as laundry detergent, sauces, marinades, assorted chips, new clothing, dental picks, California costumes clip on safety lights and Christmas decorations.

Brent Justus, with Life's Hope Inc., in Duncan, said they have operated their nonprofit for about 18-19 years and each year they give away anywhere from $750,000 to $2 million worth of food to a variety of nonprofits.

Justus said their latest truckload on Aug. 23 went to several organizations, including Christian Helping Hands, Marlow Samaritans, Faith Church, Duncan Rescue Mission and Bethel Assemblies of God. The nonprofit also worked with Ladd Polk to take supplies to Gabriel's House, Christian Concerned, Women's Haven and Charis Pregnancy Center, Inc.

"All these different groups — they do such a wonderful job in our community," he said. "We're just so blessed to work with them and so thankful we got another load from Feed the Children."

Justus said they are ready to jump in and help the kids in the new school year as well.
