Local flower shop makes 750 deliveries on Valentine’s Day
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A flower shop was extra busy with Valentine’s Day orders.
Tillie’s Flower Shop made 750 deliveries and had to bring in extra staff to help.
“Today, we’ll be making 750 deliveries total. We usually operate with five delivery drivers. Today we have 35 delivery drivers. We need that many to get out there and deliver 750 doses of love,” Tillie’s Flower Shop employee Dulcie Guinty said.
How did candy ‘conversation hearts’ come to be?
On a typical day, Tillie’s usually has six to 12 deliveries on a route.
Guinty says days like Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day are critical for the flower business.
