Local law enforcement hosting Can the Cruiser Nov. 5

Oct. 25—ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP — Local law enforcement will be hosting Can the Cruiser for Feeding Ashtabula County from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 5 at Wal-Mart, 3551 N. Ridge E., Ashtabula.

Proceeds will go to the Beatitude House in Ashtabula.

"We hope to fill up a patrol car with non-perishable food items for the holiday season, along with household items," said Maggie Sharp, secretary at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Ashtabula post.

Participants in Can the Cruiser are the Ashtabula Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ashtabula County Sheriff's Office, as well as Ashtabula, Conneaut, North Kingsville, Jefferson, Orwell, Andover, Geneva and Geneva-on-the-Lake police departments.
