Local musician returns for one-night concert in Atlanta

Oct. 4—Michael Scott, a Cobb County native and recent Hillgrove High School graduate, will appear live in concert at the Eastern in Atlanta on Oct. 11.

Scott, who graduated in 2020, was a musician in the Georgia 2020 All-State Jazz Ensemble Program and received the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award while under the orchestral direction of David Doke at Hillgrove High School. He is a senior at Belmont University in Nashville.

Now, Scott is on tour with Kelsea Ballerini and Georgia Webster, two country music singers. The group's 10-city tour includes stops at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, the Rosemont Theatre in Chicago, the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and the Eastern in Atlanta. Scott plays acoustic and electric guitar on the tour and sings backup vocals for Webster.
