Commissioners receive property donation

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton County Commissioners on Monday announced receiving the donation of 1.623 acres of land on County Road 1A, near the new Skip's Landing.

A building on the property will be demolished and the area will be turned into green space. The land was donated by Jack Joseph and Robert O. Joseph of R&J Muskingum Investments.

Locals named to farm bureau committee

COLUMBUS − The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation recently named 20 people to its policy development committee. The committee collects and organizes public policy recommendations from county farm bureaus and presents the final policy suggestions to be voted on by Ohio Farm Bureau’s delegates during the state annual meeting in December.

On the committee as a state trustee is Jerry Lahmers of Newcomerstown and representing Coshocton County is Jenna Gregorich.

Ortega serving as resident assistant

ANNVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA − Isabel Ortega of Millersburg is one of 45 resident assistant this academic year at Lebanon Valley College. The graduate of Lancaster County Christian School is pursuing a bachelor of arts in English and political science.

Planning commission to meet

COSHOCTON − Coshocton County Regional Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Frontier Power Community Meeting Room, 770 S. Second St.
