Southgate Bridge closes Wednesday for demo

Beginning Wednesday, Ohio 209 (Southgate Bridge) bridge will close to traffic for demo and reconstruction. The bridge is expected to be closed for approximately 345 days. Detours include Ohio 209 to I-70 to I-77 to U.S. 40 to Ohio 209 and reverse; Ohio 209 to Jefferson Ave. to U.S. 22/U.S. 40 to Ohio 209; and Ohio 209 to Woodlawn Ave. to 11th Stree to U.S. 22/U.S. 40 to Ohio 209.

School board vacancy to be discussed at meeting

The Cambridge City School Board of Education will conduct a special board meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13 at the Garfield Administration Center, 518 S. Eighth St., Cambridge. This special meeting is for the purpose of addressing the current board vacancy.

OMEGA to hold executive board meeting

The Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association will hold an executive board meeting at noon on June 20 at Le Chateau Pier, 195 Ohio 151, Smithfield.

Board of Health meeting on Monday

The Cambridge-Guernsey County Health Department Board of Health will meet in regular session at 5:30 p.m. Monday at its office.
