Three road closures coming this week

The Guernsey County Highway Department announces the following road closures for culvert replacement:

  • Fritter Road (County Road 140) will be closed between West Road (State Route 83) and Clay Pike Road (State Route 313) from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

  • Cooks Run Road (County Road 51) will be closed between Old National Road (County Road 450) and Ford Road (Township Road 653) from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

  • Claysville Road (County Road 15) will be closed between Clay Pike Road (State Route 313) and Crane Run Road (County Road 26) from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.

Wills Township trustees to meet

The Wills Township trustees will meet in regular session at 7 p.m. Monday at the township garage, 17629 Easton Rd., Salesville. Call 740-584-5713 to be added to the agenda.

MWCD board meeting in New Philadelphia

A meeting of the board of directors of the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at Kent State University Tuscarawas, 330 University Dr. NE, New Philadelphia.

OUZ dean's list honorees

The following students have been named to the Ohio University Zanesville fall 2022 dean’s list: Tyler Johnston and Cale Warner of Byesville, Jake Pethtel and Jenna Pethtel of Caldwell, Kaylee Callihan, Skylar Higgins, Joslyn Murrey, and Megan Warden of Cambridge, Jenna Babcock and Corinne Neptune of New Concord, and Devon Norman of Pleasant City.

4-H news

The Londonderry Lads and Lassies 4-H Club members with a market animal project will have quality insurance training on March 30, April 5, or April 22. The club will sell pepperoni rollers as a fundraiser. The next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on March 28 at the Antrim Fire House with a mystery dinner.
