Salvation Auxiliary meeting

ZANESVILLE − The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary will meet in regular session at noon Monday in the gymnasium of the Salvation Army, 515 Putnam Ave. Lunch will be served.

Guest speaker will be Bob Grayson, local artist and entrepreneur. Final arrangements for the May 11 spring brunch will be discussed.

Amanda Loy wins free throw contest

ZANESVILLE − The Msgr. Dury Council of the Knights of Columbus recently sponsored a special population free throw contest in cooperation with Starlight School.

Amanda Loy was the overall winner, sinking four out of five baskets in the championship round. Council members coordinating the event were Dylan Parry, Joe Dalton, Aaron Parry and Hugh Maxwell.

Education center board to meet

ZANESVILLE − The Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center governing board will meet in regular session at 7 p.m. April 10 at the board office, 205 N. Seventh St.

Transportation improvement meeting set

ZANESVILLE − The Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association will have a public meeting regarding a transportation improvement plan from 5:30 to 7 p.m. April 5 at the John McIntire Public Library, 220 N. Fifth St.

The primary focus will be to draft a regional transportation improvement plan for 2024 to 2027. This will include projects for Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Holmes, Muskingum and Tuscarawas counties and Find more information at omegadistrict.org/programs/transportation/rtip.
