Drug take back day is April 22

ZANESVILLE − The Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department is having a drive-thru drop off for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 22 at the health department, 205 N. Seventh St.

Accepted are prescription and over the counter tablets, capsules and liquid dosage and intra-venous solutions, injectables and needles. Illicit substances will not be accepted. Medications can be left in original containers and personal information will be removed and destroyed.

Hehr competes for MC

MARIETTA − Gabe Hehr of Zanesville was one of three students from Marietta College who recently competed in the 2023 Tau Pi Phi business case competition in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The other two members of the team were Nathan Ritchie of Fleming and Artemii Stepanets of St. Petersburg, Russia. They faced Wittenberg College and event host Juniata College.

OVO to hold customer appreciation night

McCONNELSVILLE − The Ohio Valley Opry will have it's first customer appreciation night, also nicknamed as Tax Relief Night, on April 15 at the Twin City Opera House, 15 W. Main St., McConnelsville. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the show at 6 p.m.

The concert features newcomer Davis Eckert of Stockport along with Dylan Mayle, Everett Clark, Beth Bigham, Matt Coleman, Jada Riley, Mike Morrison, Elaina Gault, David Clark, Matt Hansell, and Marvin and Deana Clark.
