Protective services board to meet

ZANESVILLE − The Muskingum County Adult and Child Protective Services board will meet in regular session at 5 p.m. April 6 at the board office, 205 N. Seventh St.

ZSC board to meet

ZANESVILLE − The Zane State College board of trustees will meet in regular session at 5 p.m. Monday via Zoom.

Blood drives set

ZANESVILLE − The American Red Cross will be holding several blood drives in the local area. For more information, call 800-733-2767 or go to redcrossblood.org.

Drives will be from 1 to 7 p.m. March 20 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 30 at Trinity United Presbyterian Church, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 23 at the James Singer Activity Center, noon to 6 p.m. March 24 at Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Duncan Falls, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 25 at Unity Church of the Nazarene, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 25 at North Terrace Church of Christ, 1 to 7 p.m. March 27 at the Adamsville Community Center and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 29 at John Glenn High School in New Concord.

Zanesville student helping with UF play

FINDLAY − Belle Vaughn of Zanesville will participate in the theater production of "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" at the University of Findlay at the Marathon Center for Performing Arts. Vaughn will serve as assistant props master.

Ways and Means Committee to meet

ZANESVILLE − The Zanesville City Council Ways and Means Committee will meet in regular session at 5 p.m. Monday in council chambers at city hall.

Budget hearings will be held with various entities and an ordinance will be discussed related to current year appropriations.

Colbert retiring

NEW LEXINGTON − An open house to celebrate the retirement of Tad Colbert, CEO of The Factory of Ideas, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. March 31 at 4757 Tile Plant Road.

Fire department having fish fry

ROSEVILLE − The Roseville Volunteer Fire Department will have a public fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. April 7 at the station. Cost is $8 for a fishtail sandwich and fries. Limited deliveries will be available in the Roseville area. Call the station for more information at 740-697-7762.

Three roads closing for work

ZANESVILLE − The Muskingum County Engineer's Office has announced three roads closing this coming week for culvert replacements.

Coopermill Road will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and Tuesday from Pinkerton Road to Meadow Farm Church Road. Old River Road will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday to Friday from Fiberglass Lane to Bridge Street. South Hopewell Road will be closed from 8:30 a.m. Wednesday to 3:30 p.m. Thursday from Black Road to Palmer Road.
