Morgan County structures razed in state program

COLUMBUS − The Ohio Building and Demolition Site Revitalization Program created by the DeWine-Husted Administration recently announced 599 new projects in 15 counties receiving funding for razing dilapidated commercial and residential structures.

This included several properties in Morgan County. Among them were 10289 Ohio 60 SD 46 and Ohio 60 SD 4 in Blue Rock. Properties in McConnelsville were 111 Finkle Hill Road SD 11, 130 Fourth St. Inlot 103, 2385 Ohio 60 Inlot 22, 340 Bell Ave. and 9003 Ohio 669 Inlot 26.

MVESC to meet

ZANESVILLE − The Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center records commission will meet at 6:45 p.m. Feb. 13 at the board office, 205 N. Seventh St. The regular monthly board meeting will follow.

MHRS board to meet

ZANESVILLE − The Mental Health and Recovery Services Board will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 9 at the board office, 1500 Coal Run Road. The records retention committee will meet at 5:45 p.m. and the finance and audit committee and partners workgroups meet at 6 p.m.

Locals graduate college

Jacqueline Sue Kirkbride of Zanesville graduated Campbellsville University during fall commencement.

Christina Rozsa of Frazeysburg graduated the University of Alabama during fall commencement with a bachelor's degree in commerce and business administration.

Two students make academic lists

HENDERSON, TENNESSEE − Taylor Gorrell of McConnelsville was named to the dean's list and Breanna Tonkery of Zanesville to the president's list for the fall semester at Freed-Hardeman University. Gorrell is majoring in English and Tonkery in chemistry.

Locals make BGSU dean's roll

BOWLING GREEN − Named to the fall semester dean's list at Bowling Green State University were Tomi Starcher of Roseville, Madeline Hreha of Dresden, Janessa Jewell of Nashport, Rachel Meadows of Trinway, Sydney Davis of Chandlersville, Delaney Mynes of Hopewell, Christopher Gree of Adamsville, Ashlynne Swackhammer of Thornville, Sara Cade of Glenford, and Matthew Weingarth, Kemery Aichele and Kaylee Britenburg of Zanesville.

Salvation Army Auxiliary to meet

ZANESVILLE − The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary will meet at noon Feb. 6 in the gymnasium of the Salvation Army, 515 Putnam Ave. Totals and wrap ups will be presented for the Christmas Angle Tree and food box distribution programs. Call 740-683-3456 for more information.
