ZCS having enrollments

ZANESVILLE − Zanesville City Schools will accept open enrollment applications for the 2023 to 2024 school year through March.

Applications are available at the board office, 956 Moxahala Ave., and online at zanesville.k12.oh.us. They will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents are responsible for transporting children to and from school or an approved bus route.

The district is also having kindergarten registration from March 20 to 31. Children must be 5-years-old as of Aug. 1. Documents to bring to registration are birth certificate, immunization records, custody papers, if applicable, and proof of residency. One can register at the website and they will then receive a call on setting up an appointment time.

Girl Power dance to benefit JG track and field

NEW CONCORD − John Glenn track and field and cross country boosters are holding a Girl Power Glow Dance from 1 to 3 p.m. March 18, at John Glenn High School, 13115 John Glenn School Road, New Concord. The event is for girls in kindergarten to fifth grade of any school. A dad or special adult should accompany. There will be dancing, games, music and more. Glow-in-the-dark clothes are encouraged to be worn.

Proceeds will benefit the track and field program. Cost is $20 per girl with adult and $5 for each additional girl. Power Portraits will also be available on site for purchase. For more information, go to matsonretirementplanning.com/events or call 740-454-7646.

Malone makes dean's list

BETHANY, WEST VIRGINIA − Marisa Malone of New Lexington was named to the fall semester dean's list at Bethany College.

Zanesville BOE to meet

ZANESVILLE − Zanesville City Schools Board of Education will meet in regular session at 6 p.m. March 14 at Zanesville High School, 1701 Blue Ave. This is a date change from previously announced.
