Clay Pike closing for work

ZANESVILLE − The Muskingum County Engineer's Office has announced Clay Pike will closed for a culvert replacement from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday from Southern Road to Tom Road.

Colbert retiring

NEW LEXINGTON − An open house to celebrate the retirement of Tad Colbert, CEO of The Factory of Ideas, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. March 31 at 4757 Tile Plant Road.

First UMC plans Easter services

ZANESVILLE − A Good Friday service will be at 1 p.m. April 7 in the sanctuary of Zanesville First United Methodist Church, 857 Putnam Ave. Easter services will be at 9 a.m. April 9. Call the church for more information at 740-452-7117.

Fire department to hold fish fry

ROSEVILLE − The Roseville Volunteer Fire Department will have a public fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. April 7 at the station. Cost is $8 for a fishtail sandwich and fries. Limited deliveries will be available in the Roseville area. Call the station for more information at 740-697-7762.

Bank to hold shred day

ZANESVILLE − The Community Bank is holding a free community shred day from 9 a.m. to noon April 15 at the Downtown Zanesville Banking Office, 113 N. Fifth St. Muskingum Iron and Metal will also be offering free electronics recycling.

LCD monitors and televisions will not be accepted. E-waste taken includes computers, laptops, servers, routers, modems and switches, telephones, cellphones, stereos and radios, VCRs, remotes, all wires and cords, docking stations, cable boxes and DVRs.

For documents, up to five boxes 20" wide by 10" high with paperwork can be brought for shredding. Staples, rubber bands, folders and paper clips need to be removed.

ZANESVILLE − The Muskingum County Adult and Child Protective Services board will meet in regular session at 5 p.m. April 6 at the board office, 205 N. Seventh St.

MVL names scholarship winners

ZANESVILLLE − The Muskingum Valley League has announced scholarship winners for the 2022 to 2023 school year.

Hudson Wesney of Coshocton High School and Mason Thomas of Philo High School received Terry Ohlinger Scholarships. Lillian Yoder of River View High School and Luka Ratliff of New Lexington High School received basketball scholarships.
