Wooster man arrested after attempted break-in

KEENE − A Wooster man was arrested on an outstanding warrant by the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office after he attempted to break into staff vehicles at Keene Elementary School.

The incident occurred at 9:24 a.m. Tuesday. The sheriff's office said charges relating to the incident are pending. The River View Local Schools resource officer also responded.

An all call to parents from the district stated all school students and staff were safe following the incident.

'GRETEL! The Musical' comes to CHS

COSHOCTON − "GRETEL! The Musical" will be performed at 8 p.m. March 10 and 11 at McKinley Auditorium of Coshocton High School, 1205 Cambridge Road.

The story has Gretel squaring off with the mystical Baba Yaga, who everyone says is a witch. Gretel must past three tests to win the Flaming Skull of Undying Light and save her family.

Coshocton Schools closed for holiday

COSHOCTON − Coshocton City Schools will be closed Feb. 20 for Presidents' Day.

SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI − Holiday Fairchild of Millersburg recently graduated Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology.

Cardinal Chorale concert upcoming

COSHOCTON −The Cardinal Chorale will perform the reunion concert "Let There Be Peace" at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Coshocton Presbyterian Church, 142 N. Fourth St.

The 90-minute show will feature 45 young singers from across Ohio, who were part of the eight day Cardinal Chorale Music Workshop at Muskingum University in July. The chorale will have a seven-day tour in June. Conductors are Charles Snyder and Chad Putka with Caroline Heading as accompanist.

The chorale will also sing for a combined worship service of the Presbyterian Church and Grace United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. Other music will be provided by the hand bell choir led Leslie Dawson, pianist Caroline Heading and organist Mark Wagner.

Local members of the chorale include Alexis Caley, Olivia Crouso, Grace Cullison, Ryan Gildow, Julia Grimmett, LJ Grimmett, Teigue Hardesty, Jacob Heading, Sarah Heading, Dakota Kealiher, Mattie Kiser, Ken Kittell, Kailyn Shalosky, John Stamper, Aiden Stevens-Woolery, Connor Stevens-Woolery, Liam Stevens-Woolery, Sydney Stewart, Sheldon Stotts and Lilly Wells.
