South Zanesville Council to meet
SOUTH ZANESVILLE − The Village of South Zanesville Council will meet in regular session at 7 p.m. Dec. 5 in council chambers, 24 E. Main St. The insurance committee will meet prior at 6 p.m. and the personnel committee will meet at 6:45 p.m.
MWCD approves grants
NEW PHILADELPIA −The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District Board of Directors recently approved $1.1 million in grants to 10 organizations in the district for a variety of projects.
This included $250,000 to the Muskingum County Engineer's Office for a culvert replacement on Wills Creek Road and $75,813 to the Village of McConnelsville for McConnel Run Watershed flood control. Still under consideration is a request of $92,700 from the Village of McConnelsville for floodplain property acquisition.
Governing board to meet
ZANESVILLE − The Muskingum Valley Education Service Center governing board will meet in regular session at 7 p.m. Monday at the board office, 205 N. Seventh St.
MU nursing program honored
NEW CONCORD − The Muskingum University nursing program was recently ranked number one in Ohio by RN Careers and registerednursing.org.
Nursing programs were assessed on several factors which represented how well a program supports students towards licensure and beyond. Muskingum University’s nursing program has had a 100% pass rate for first time test takers on the NCLEX for the past five years.
Within the past year, Muskingum University enhanced its nursing program with the addition of a second simulation lab and an anatomage table, which is a virtual cadaver.
