Two injured in motorcycle wreck

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office reported a traffic crash involving a motor vehicle and motorcycle at 4:20 p.m. Friday on County Road 16 at Chestnut Crossing.

Authorities said George Guilliams, 70, of Coshocton, was traveling west on a 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when a 2006 Toyota operated by David McCabe, 18, of Coshocton, attempted to turn left into Chestnut Crossing. The two collided. Guilliams and his passenger, Peggy Shaw, 66, of Coshocton, were ejected from the bike.

Guilliams was flown by LifeFlight medical helicopter to Akron General Medical Center by Cleveland Clinic for treatment of unknown injuries. Shaw was flown by MedFlight to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries. McCabe and passenger Travis Carroll, 38, of Coshocton, were treated and released on scene. Assisting were Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services, Three Rivers Fire Department, REACT and Prince's Wrecker Service.

Warsaw man injured in tractor rollover

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office reported a tractor rolled over a man at 4:24 p.m. Monday in the 27000 block of Bethlehem Township Road 29.

Authorities said Larry G. Infield, 68, of Warsaw, was operating a Case farm tractor on a steep embankment when he lost control. The tractor overturned, rolling over Infield and causing him injury.

He was flown by Air Evac from from the scene to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with unknown injuries. Grant had Infield listed Tuesday morning in fair and stable condition. Assisting were Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services and Walhonding Valley Fire District.

Two injured in rollover crash Monday evening

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office reported a single vehicle rollover crash at 10:24 p.m. Monday in the 27000 block of County Road 271 in Tuscarawas Township.

Authorities said Daylan Campbell, 20, of Coshocton, was traveling south when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle went off the roadway, struck and embankment and went into the air. It came down on its front end and rolled front to back three time before coming to rest on its top in a field. A passenger in the vehicle was Daquie Householder, 21, of Alliance.

Campbell was transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center and Householder to Genesis Coshocton Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries. Assisting were Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services, Three Rivers Fire District, REACT and Prince's Wrecker Service. Speed is considered a factor.

Newark woman strikes deer

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office reported a one-vehicle crash at 9:33 p.m. Friday on Ohio 16, near County Road 75 in Virginia Township.

Authorities said Nancy A. Morgan, 62, of Newark, was traveling westbound when she struck a deer. Morgan didn't report any injuries. The Conesville Fire Department assisted on scene.

Two-vehicle crash Sunday on Main Street

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office reported a two-vehicle crash shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Main and East Main streets.

Authorities said a juvenile was traveling east on Main Street and attempted to turn north into a residence. The teen failed to yield the right of way and was struck by Kathryn Chittum, 25, of Coshocton, who was heading west.

The juvenile was treated on scene and released. Chittum was transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center for complaint-type injuries. Assisting were Coshocton Fire Department, Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services and Princes' Wrecker Service.

Foughty retires

COSHOCTON − A retirement party for Nancy Foughty will be 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. June 23 at the Coshocton County Courthouse. The assignment commissioner for Coshocton County Common Pleas Court has served the county for more than 30 years.

Qigong classes starting at museum

COSHOCTON − Qigong classes with Holli Rainwater will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum, 300 N. Whitewoman St.

The ancient Chinese health care system combines gentle body movements, breath practice and deep relaxation. The Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi form will be the core practice. Fresno Alumni banquet set

WEST LAFAYETTE − The annual Fresno Alumni banquet will be June 10 at Ridgewood Middle School. Serving is at 6:30 p.m. Meals will be prepared and served by Wendy Schumaker. Honored class is 1953. There will be a door prize drawing.

Reservations are due by Friday by calling Ruth Marquand at 740-610-6966. Cost of meal is $15 with $3 dues per alumni members.

Conesville adding stop signs

CONESVILLE − Conesville Village Council recently approved turning the intersection of State Street and Marquand Avenue a three-way stop.

Mayor Marge Donley said the stop signs are designed to slow down traffic and improve safety. Stop signs are to be installed upcoming. Conesville is currently seeing increased traffic because of Ohio Department of Transportation paving on Ohio 16, closing the road eastbound.

Open mic nights at Hopewell School

COSHOTON − The Coshocton Art Guild is holding a series of open microphone events from 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays starting June 12 at the pavilion behind Hopewell School, 23720 Airport Road. Registration starts at 5:30 p.m.

Singles and duets are welcome, but no full bands. Soft drinks and pizza will be available.
