Leadership program starts at Muskingum U

NEW CONCORD − Muskingum University has launched a master's and doctorate degrees program in applied leadership, starting with the fall semester. Both are online.

The programs focus specifically on relevance by using evidence-based research and practice to solve real-world problems. The practical intention of the programs is reinforced throughout the curriculum so students can immediately apply what they are learning to their organizations and careers. Locals achieve at KSU

KENT − Kent State University has announced its dean and president lists for the spring semester.

Named to the dean's list were Chloe Eicher of Nashport, Justin Allen, Maggie France, Rachel Howell, Morgan Jinkens, Grace Johnson, Brianna Larimer, Tessa Littick, Jazmyn Meinstein, Ethan Rothacher, Madison Wutrick and Alexander McClelland of Zanesville; Gabrielle Henderson and Hayley Malenda of Chandlersville; Tarren Wright of Glenford; Nichole Simons and Joleigh Harrop of Duncan Falls; Tessa Carnahan of McConnelsville; Treasure Johnson of Malta; Amber Ritchey of Thornville; Madison Parker of Somerset; and MacKenzie Hogan of Mount Perry.

Named to the president's list were Mia Bartoli, Lynnea Crock, Anna Paul and Mykensie White of Zanesville; Michael Miller of Chandlersville; and Shannon Hogan of Mount Perry.

MCACPS board to meet

ZANESVILLE − The Muskingum County Adult and Child Protective Services board will meet in regular session at 5 p.m. Sept. 7 at the board office, 205 N. Seventh St.

ZCA announces concert series

ZANESVILLE − The Zanesville Concert Association has announced its 2023 to 2024 concert season and are taking memberships.

Performances will be Franc D'Ambrosio on Oct. 1, the New American Songbook Holiday Concert with James Torme on Dec 16, the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra from Bulgaria on Feb. 19 and the Texas Guitar Quartet on March 17. Members also get access to six additional concerts through the Community Concert Association of Knox County in Mount Vernon.

Adult season memberships are $65. Children with paying adult and college students with current identification are free. Purchase memberships at zanesvilleconcertassociation.org or call 740-588-0871.
