No injuries in Keene Township wreck

COSHOCTON — The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office handled a single-vehicle crash at 7:17 p.m. Wednesday on Ohio 83, near County Road 207 in Keene Township.

Authorities said Angelina L. Schreiber, 30, of Millersburg, swerved to avoid a deer, lost control of her vehicle and went off the right side of the road into a ditch. The vehicle overturned onto its top.

Schreiber was treated and released on scene. Assisting were Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services, Three Rivers Fire District and Prince's Wrecker Service.

Farmers Market to hold Christmas in July

COSHOCTON — The Coshocton Farmers Market will have a Christmas in July event from 8:30 a.m. to noon July 23 on Main Street from Third to Fourth streets.

Choir gives Bachert Scholarship

COSHOCTON — The Coshocton Community Choir recently awarded the 2022 Barbara Bachert Scholarship to Liam Stevens-Woolery, son of Cherly Stevens and Michael Woolery.

The 2022 valedictorian of River View High School has been a member of the Coshocton Singers, Coshocton Youth Chorale and Cardinal Chorale. He was also involved in various high school choirs and bands and was a member of the National Honor Society, speech and debate club, chess club, science fair club, German Honor Society, model united nations and was class secretary. He's an Eagle Scout and participant in Coshocton County Youth Leadership.

Stevens-Woolery plans to attend the exploratory program of the honors college at Miami University this fall.

This year's scholarships was presented in honor of longtime Coshocton Community Choir members Steve and Karen Hildreth. Steve joined in 1986 and Karen in 1987.

Kenney makes president's list

HENDERSON, TENNESSEE — James Kenney of Newcomerstown was named to the spring semester president's list at Freed-Hardeman University. He's majoring in history.
