Food Truck Friday coming to Southgate

The Cambridge Citizens Police Alumni Academy will host a food truck event from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, in the 100 block of Southgate Parkway. Available will be All American Lemonade, Burger Brothers, Mandi’s Fixins’, and Hudson’s Pizza and Ice Cream, and the academy will have a beer concession. Joe Rio is the entertainment and the event will be on Southgate Pkwy between Turner and Wheeling, due to the bridge being closed.

All proceeds from the beer sales go to the Cambridge Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni, which is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to support our Cambridge Police Department. Funds support the continuation of the academy as well as the Boot Camp for junior high school age children.

Salt Fork Festival seeks chorus members

The Salt Fork Festival Chorus is looking for members to participate in this year's performance at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12. Jim Whitehair will be directing the chorus and the theme is American Popular Music. Rehearsals will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. July 27, Aug. 3 and 10, at Faith United Methodist Church on Jefferson Avenue. For more information contact Whitehair at whitehairjd@yahoo.com. Farm Bureau to host annual meeting

The Guernsey County Farm Bureau will hold its 2023 annual meeting at 6 p.m. August 3, at Mr. Lee’s Restaurant, where members will vote on proposed policies, elect a board of trustee members, and elect delegates to the Ohio Farm Bureau 2024 meeting.

The dinner will begin at 6 p.m. with the meeting to follow. Cost is $17. Reservations are requested by July 24 to 740-425-3681 or email guernsey@ofbf.org. Mail checks to Guernsey County Farm Bureau 100 Colonel Drive, Barnesville, OH 43713.

MVESC July meeting in Zanesville
