Motorcyclist injured in Monday night wreck

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office reported a traffic crash involving an automobile and motorcycle at 7:08 p.m. Monday in the 42000 block of U.S. 36 in Bethlehem Township.

Authorities said Xavier Lamneck, 19, of Coshocton, was traveling east when he turned into a river access road off the highway. He then made an improper turn back onto U.S. 36 while attempting to turn onto Township Road 1235. His vehicle was struck by a motorcycle being driven by Tony Wright, 39, of Coshocton. The motorcycle continued off the left side of the roadway and over an embankment before coming to rest in a field. Wright was thrown from the bike.

Wright was transported by MedFlight to Akron City Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Lamneck was treated and released on scene. Assisting were Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services, Walhonding Valley Fire District and Prince's Wrecker Service.

Three-vehicle crash on U.S. 36

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office reported a three-vehicle crash at 3:25 p.m. Monday at the intersection of U.S. 36 and Ohio 751 in Oxford Township.

Authorities said Wilmer Slabaugh, 21, of Millersburg, was traveling west on U.S. 36 when Ryan Osburn, 19, of New Philadelphia, failed to yield at a stop sign on Ohio 751 and struck Slabaugh's vehicle on the passenger side. Slabaugh's vehicle continued into the eastbound lanes of traffic and struck a trailer being towed by a Griffin Pavement Stripping truck from Columbus. It was driven by Adrian Jackson, 34, of London.

A male juvenile passenger from Holmesville in the Slabaugh vehicle was transported by MedFlight to Akron Children's Hospital for unknown injuries. The others were treated and released on scene. Assisting were Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services, West Lafayette Fire Department and Prince's Wrecker Service.

Grace named to honor society

ADA − Bryce Grace of Fresno was inducted recently into the Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society at Ohio Northern University.

Millersburg students make dean's list

HARRISONBURG, VIRGINIA − Olivia Galbraith, Megan Miller and Elliott Yoder of Millersburg were named to the spring semester dean's list at Eastern Mennonite University. Miller and Yoder are majoring in biology and Galbraith in nursing.

Opportunity School board to meet

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton Opportunity School governing board will meet in regular session at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Olde Warehouse Restaurant, 400 N. Whitewoman St.

Memorial Day events at Keene church

COSHOCTON − The 141st annual Keene Veterans Memorial Celebration will be May 28 at Keene United Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be at 9:30 a.m. with speaker Tim Obarow of Coshocton. Obarow served as an aircraft mechanic for the U.S. Air Force from 1973 to 1977.

Lunch will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the fellowship hall. The parade will be at noon with Larry Endsley as grand marshal, the Walhonding Rube Band and the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office. Warsaw American Legion Post 634 will have a 21-gun salute at two cemeteries and the veterans monument.
