Local News Briefs: OUZ receives piano from Thursday Music Club
Piano recital set
ZANESVILLE — A public piano dedication recital will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Elson Hall of Ohio University Zanesville. It's to recognize a new 9-foot Baldwin Concert Grand Piano being presented to the campus by the Thursday Music Club.
Performing will be Harsha Abeyaratne, Associate Professor of Music at Muskingum University. Speaking will be Dean Hannah Nissan, music club President Diane Houston and Mayor Don Mason.
Locals make president's list
MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE — Krystyl Welsch of McConnelsville and Tandra Dennis, Colt Miller, Desire Garletts, Ashton Mirgon and Michael Price of Zanesville were named to the winter semester dean's list at Southern New Hampshire University.
Salvation Army Auxiliary part of yard sales
ZANESVILLE The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary will participate in the annual Route 40 Yard Sales from June 2 to 4 at the National Road and Zane Grey Museum. More than 50 members have contributed antiques, collectibles, household goods and more for sale.

BLUFFTON — Nathan Campolo of New Lexington and Lucas Hanson of Somerset recently earned bachelor's degrees from Bluffton University. Campolo majored in business administration and Hanson's degree is as an intervention specialist.
