Tony Atlas appearing for SCW

NEW LEXINGTON − Southern Championship Wrestling will present a show at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Mt. Aloysius Gymnasium, 5375 Tile Plant Road, New Lexington.

Micro wrestling stars will be featured along with Tony Atlas, who will have a meet and greet from 5 to 7 p.m. Atlas was inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame in 2006 and held the company's world tag team titles with Rocky Johnson, father of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Locals achieve in college

ZANESVILLE − Max Lambert of Zanesville and Katelyn Baughman of Roseville recently graduated from Baldwin Wallace University. Lambert received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Baughman graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in music theater.

Rosecrans students get scholarships

ZANESVILLE − Caitlyn Wilson has been awarded the Carolyn Ann Weiner Scholarship and Charles Peterson got the Josephine Sebach Educational Fund award via Scholarships Central of the Muskingum County Community Foundation.

Both are graduating seniors of Bishop Rosecrans High School. Wilson will major in nursing at the University of Kentucky and Peterson will study finance at the University of Mount Union.
