Dec. 7—Boys' Basketball

Manning 73, Aiken 62

Aiken High's boys fell at home Monday to Manning.

The Hornets (3-3) will be back in action Friday at Greenwood.

Aquinas 55, Fox Creek 50

Fox Creek suffered a close loss to Aquinas on Monday despite four Predators scoring in double figures.

Connor Cannon scored 13 points, Bryce Edwards and Khalil Houston had 11 apiece, and Malik Reynolds added 10. Houston also had a team-high 11 rebounds for a double-double, and Montez Tillman had 10 boards.

The Predators (3-5) were back in action Tuesday at Augusta Prep, and their next game will be Friday at home against Williston-Elko.

Schofield Middle 58, Ridge Spring-Monetta 35

Schofield moved to 2-0 with a big win over Ridge Spring-Monetta on Monday.

Armani Jones had a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds, and fellow seventh-grader Luke Warren hit six 3-pointers and scored 20 points to lead the way for the Rams. Tanner Padgett had seven steals and five assists, and Allen Cummings had seven points and eight rebounds.

Kennedy Middle 42, North Augusta Middle 38

Kennedy held off North Augusta for a tight win Monday.

Raymond Hicks led the way for North Augusta with 14 points. Ryan Bahria added seven, and Derrick Thurmond and Deante Darden scored six apiece. North Augusta faces Jackson Middle next.

Kennedy is scheduled to host Ridge Spring-Monetta on Thursday.

Girls' Basketball

Aiken 53, Manning 40

Aiken High's girls used a big third quarter to pull away from Manning on Monday.

Malasia Jamison scored a team-high 19 points and Norriyah Bradley added 14 for the Hornets (5-2), who visit Greenwood on Friday.
