Local runners lead the way in Goodyear Half Marathon and 10K

Northeast Ohio runners swept first-place spots Saturday in the Goodyear Half Marathon and 10K in Akron.

The annual race is the second event in a series wraps up with the Sept. 30 FirstEnergy Akron Marathon.

Runners began the races at the Goodyear Akron Proving Grounds and wound their way through East Akron, Ellet and Middlebury before finishing at the Goodyear World Headquarters.

Here are the top 10 finishers in each race:

Men's half-marathon

  1. Dylan Garritano, Akron, 1:11:36.
