Local San Angelo area high school track and field athletes advance past district to area.

Multiple San Angelo area track and field athletes took place in district track meets this past week for the opportunity to move on as they continue their quest for the state meet in May.

Wall’s teams won boys and girls District 6-3A championships as the lone team in the area to sweep its meets, however, numerous teams and athletes won individual titles as well.

After qualifying for area track meets by finishing in the top four at their district meets, athletes will once again have to finish in the top four at area to move on to regionals later in the month. After that, the top two finishers at regionals will move on to the state track meet in May.
