OTTAWA LAKE – Undefeated league champion Whiteford placed 12 players on the All-Tri-County Conference first team for football.

The Bobcats placed Kyle Gray (center), Brayden Luse (guard), Owen Knaggs (tackle), Kolby Masserant (receiver), Shea Ruddy (quarterback), Hunter DeBarr (running back), and Drew Knaggs (running back) on the offense; and Aidan Cousino (line), Seanmus Waterford (end), Jake Iott (linebacker), Stephan Masserant (outside linebacker), and Ryin Ruddy on defense.

Erie Mason honorees were Korbin Herrera (receiver), John Nolan (defensive line), Louden Murbach (linebacker), Cole Kreger (outside linebacker), and Vaughn Brown (defensive back).

Selections for Summerfield were Mason Hall (guard), Brenden Myshock (tight end) Brandon Thompson (running back), Josh Whaley (defensive line), Dakota Kohn (linebacker), and Hayden Noland (defensive back).

Shane Suchora of Whiteford, Trent Herrera and Logan Goodin of Mason, and Tyler Dafoe, Ethan Jeffers and Logan Keane of Summerfield received honorable mention.

Sportsmanship Award winners were James Gobbel of Summerfield, Zach Miller of Mason, and Mason McLaughlin of Whiteford.

PREP VOLLEYBALL

Milan reaches 20 wins

MILAN – Milan swept Dundee 25-6, 25-14, Ann Arbor Greenhills 25-14, 25-22, and Wyandotte Roosevelt 25-19, 25-15 Thursday to push its record to 20-7-3.

Leaders for the Big Reds were Sylvia Koch (25 kills), Amanda Gregorio (17 dig), Madison Slack (60 assists, 5 aces), and Mariah Stines (4 blocks).

Summerfield wins two

PETERSBURG – Addison Ciacelli had 24 assists, 17 points, 6 aces and 8 digs Thursday as Summerfield beat Clarkston Everest Academy 25-18, 25-22, and Whitmore Lake 25-13, 25-18 to finish the regular season at 11-7.

Julia Fietz added 9 points, 5 aces, 5 kills, and 11 digs, and Sophia LaRocca and Kyra Horak led the defense.

Sweeney leads Mason

LIVONIA – Angela Sweeney racked up 25 kills on 50 attempts and added 23 digs and 3 aces as Erie Mason beat Allen Park Cabrini 25-15, 25-17, but lost to Livonia Stevenson 25-20, 25-22, and Grosse Pointe South 25-15, 25-23 Thursday.

Brooklyn Langenderfer contributed 34 assists and 7 digs and was 100 percent on the night serving with 2 aces. Jayanna Willets added 21 digs and 3 aces and Cami Zaleski had 15 digs and 6 kills.

PREP SWIMMING

Dundee finishes 17-1

DUNDEE – Dundee wrapped up a 17-1 dual-meet season with a 104-63 victory over Mason-Ida Thursday.

Sara Carter (200-yard freestyle, breaststroke) and Joslyn Ball (butterfly, 500 free) were double winners for the Vikings. Other individual wins came from Lia Parry (individual medley), Emma O’Connell (50 free), Emma Schramm (diving), Kaylee Imo (100 free), and Lillian Ratliff (backstroke).

Mason-Ida had runner-up finishes from Sophia Sorg, Summer Smith, Shelby Potter, Alexa Chesney, and Riley Jacobs.

Monroe goes 1-2

TECUMSEH – Alice Hause and Abby Macleod took the top two spots in diving and Nicole Rykse and Abby Dieckmann did the same in the 200-yard freestyle for Monroe in a 103-59 loss to Tecumseh Thursday.

All three relays posted season-best times for the Trojans in their final dual meet of the season.

JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL

Monroe tops Bedford

The Monroe eighth-grade team completed a 4-1 season by beating Bedford Red 24-8 Thursday.

Grady Brooks, Julian Espinoza, and Asher Simmons ran for touchdowns. DaWaan Watkins recovered a fumble and Torran Simmons intercepted a pass.

YOUTH CROSS COUNTRY

Trinity eight at nationals

MEQUON, Wis. − The Trinity Lutheran girls cross country team finished in eighth place Saturday at the National Lutheran Cross Country Championships at Concordia University Wisconsin.

Trinity sixth grader Charity Frank-DeRoch ran the 2-mile race in 13:35 and made First Team All-American in the 4th-6th grade division, while fifth grader Cole Butler (12:46) made Second Team All-American.

The Trinity girls qualified for the National meet after winning the Michigan Lutheran team title Oct. 9 at Concordia Ann Arbor.
