Local vendor market events are back and focused on supporting local makers in Bellingham

Spring is blooming in Bellingham as farmers markets and vendor fairs are coming back for the season.

Many Bellingham breweries, venues and businesses are bringing back markets this season, encouraging Whatcom County locals to shop small and support local vendors.

Here are a few local markets coming up in Bellingham that feature small businesses, crafters, farmers and more that you can support:

Bellingham Farmers Market — March 18

The Bellingham Farmers Market’s last winter market is on Saturday, March 18, before kicking off its spring market season on April 1. Markets run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Depot Market Square at 1100 Railroad Ave.

Spring Market at Darach Brewing — March 19

Darach Brewing will host a spring market with five vendors from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, March 19. The brewery is located at 1015 N. State St.

Spring Equinox Makers’ Market — March 19

Ponderosa Beer and Books is hosting a spring market with 10 local artists from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at 1225 Roeder Ave.

Spring Makers Market at the Depot — March 25

The Spring Makers Market will have almost 100 vendors and a market scavenger hunt from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 25. The market is at the Depot Market Square at 1100 Railroad Ave.

Spring Market at Twin Sisters — March 26

Twin Sisters Brewing Company is hosting a spring market with 30 local artists and planters. The brewery will also have drinks and food available for purchase during the event that runs from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 26. Twin Sisters Brewing Company is at 500 Carolina St.

Shoulder Season Makers Market at Kulshan Brewing — April 1

Kulshan Brewing will host a spring market at the Roosevelt Taproom from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, April 1. The market will feature over 30 vendors and 10% of all sales will be donated to the Bellingham Food Bank. Kulshan Brewing will also donate $1 per pint sold from 5-9 p.m. to the food bank. The taproom is at 1538 Kentucky St.

Spring Makers Market at Gruff Brewing — April 6

Gruff Brewing is kicking off its spring market season on Thursday, April 6, by hosting over 20 vendors at the first market. The market is only for people 21 years and older and runs from 4-8 p.m. Gruff Brewing is at 104 E. Maple St.
