Youth League Scores

In the Muskingum Valley 12u Baseball League, West M Goodwill defeated Glenford Hill Real Estate 13-10 on Wednesday. Hudson Brownrigg was the winning pitcher. Hudson Chema led the team with 2 doubles and 2 singles with help from Owen McKenzie’s 2 singles and Danny Rodman’s 2 doubles and a single and they combined for 4 RBIs. Glenford Hill Real Estate was led by Chesney Huston’s double and a single and a doubles by Hank Severance and Kyle Compston.

Edwards Roofing beat Freedom Tactical 12-8. Bronc Burkey pitched 3 innings with 3 K’s and Drew Leas had 2 Doubles and a single. Garrett White had 2 doubles for Freedom Tactical.

Somerset Mint Condition (sponsor: Stevenson painting and construction) won 12 to 5 vs RVW3 Bears, as Oliver Field hit two doubles and Cam Decot doubled and singled.

Freedom Tactical defeated Star Storage 7-4 at Dresden. Winning Pitcher was Owen Garrett, who went 4 innings while striking out 9, walking 2, and only allowing 1 hit. Leading hitters for Freedom Tactical was Owen Garrett with a single and double and 2 RBIs and Clayten Baker with two singles.

West M Goodwill defeats West M Cambridge Cable 14-2 on Saturday. Hudson Brownrigg was the winning pitcher. Danny Rodman’s triple with the bases loaded with help from Owen McKenzie and Hudson Chema’s doubles and combined four RBI’s, led Goodwill to victory. Cambridge Cable was led by Cohen Smelter’s double and two singles by Mason Pennington.

Papa Johns Coshocton Black defeated GL Hill Real Estate Sheridan Red 15-4. Leading Coshocton was Clayton Watson with a home run and a single, Jarren Johnson two singles and winning pitcher Cooper Alverson threw 3 scoreless innings.

Elevate to Celebrate defeated Edwards Metals 5-4. Jeremiah Griffith and Mason Seward combined for 10 strikeouts in the win.

Golf League Results

The Zanesville Country Club Thursday Evening Ladies League played a scramble net format on the front nine on Thursday. The winning team with 24 was Ann Melick, Cindy Linn, Joan Minning and Shari Weingarth, while second with 24 was Marilyn Knell, Jan Schowinsky, Janet Pompei and Linda Phillips and third with 28 was Paula Brunton, Ann Somple, Diane Decenso and Becky Weir.

The Zanesville CC Charlie Goelz League played Foursome 2 Best Ball - Net on Wednesday. Kevin Miller, Colin McCall, Ben Hess and Nate Embrey won at 11-under with Will Wisecarver, Mike Zimmerer, Dan Pottmeyer and Tom Sulens came in second at 8-under, and Rick Campbell, Kevin Jones, Chris Clewell and John Schowinsky took third at 7-under. Blake Hartford made the longest putt on No. 11 at 14-feet-8, and closest to pin on No. 18 was Tom Sulens at 7-feet-5.

Matt Grimm fired 36 for low gross while Casey Hazen had 31 for low net in the Geyer Family Insurance Wednesday League at Fuller's Fairways. The GREENS Couples Scramble League at Fullers Fairways had Winning Teams of Bob & Lynn Werry, Matt & Misty Grimm, Doug & Debby Geyer, Joe & Sas Dougherty, Jim & Lucy Cook, Brady & Rose Campbell, Greg & Robin Sites, Joe & Sarah Sampson, Doug Briggs/Sherry Wilkins. Low Gross was Brady & Rose Campbell with 34; Low Net score was shared by Werry's, Grimm's, Geyer's, Cook's, Campbell's, and Briggs/Wilkins with 32. Closest to pin on No. 6 was Lynn Werry and No. 8 was Brady Campbell.

In the Trillium Vision Care League at Green Valley, Troy Frazee had low score on the front nine of 30 and Eric Woodard's 32 was low score on the back. Low net on the front was 27 by Chris Deal, low net on the back was 28 by Woodard and Don Seevers and low neat team was Liberty Home Mortgage with 118. In the Coconis Furniture League at Eaglesticks, Low Gross on the front nine was 35 by Scott Stalnaker and Ryan Shephard and on the back was 26 by Greg McKenzie. Rosecrans Basketball Camp to be held in June

Todd Rock's 31st annual Rosecrans Bishops Basketball Camp will be held from June 5-8 at Rosecrans High School.

Grades K-4 will have camp from 10 a.m. to Noon each day with Junior High (5-8) from Noon to 2 p.m. and High School from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

Players will learn a variety of fundamentals, and cost is $75 per child, and girls are welcome at the K-4 and 5-8 camps. Checks can be made payable to Rosecrans High School and mailed to the school, Rosecrans High School, 1040 E. Main St., Zanesville, OH 43701.

Dresden Dorados swim team to meet on April 29

The Dresden Dorados swim team is back with their season going from May 30 to July 21.

Swimmers of all skill levels and ages 6-18 are welcome to join this recreational team. Swimmers must be able to swim at least one length of the pool without assistance to join the team

There will be a info meeting and team suit fitting from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, April 29 at the Dresden Swim Center. The info meeting will start at 11 a.m.

Registration can be done online by visiting the Dresden DORADOS website at www.dresdendorados.swimtopia.com and clicking on REGISTER NOW.

Practices begin Tuesday, May 30 and are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 5 to 6 p.m. for 10 and under (more novice) and 6 to 7:15 for 11 and older (more advanced). The team competes the Tri-County Aquatic League with three home meets and three away meets, plus a championship meet in Dresden. League meets are typically on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.

Cost is $130 for the first swimmer in your family, $115 for the second, $100 for the third and $50 for each additional swimmer. Registration includes a DORADO T-Shirt and Team Cap. League fees are $13 and will be assessed during registration. Registrations after May 21 will incur a $25 late fee.

Green Valley Leagues looking for players

The Thursday morning Zanesville Friends Ladies League is looking for players. The league will begin play at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, May 4. If you are interested or want more information, call Green Valley at 740-452-7105.

Crystal Springs Leagues to meet

The Wednesday 2 Man Team League on Wednesday evenings will meet at 5:30 p.m. May 3. League will start May 10, and call Jason Harrison at 740-624-6008 if interested.
