Locals celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility in Holland

HOLLAND — A local community center and LGBTQ+ resource celebrated Transgender Day of Visibility on Friday, March 31, in Holland.

Out On The Lakeshore hosted the event with Gender SAFE, including an open mic reception, food, drinks and fun. All attendees were welcome, including those wanting to learn more about the trans and gender-diverse community.

Transgender Day of Visibility is an international event celebrating all transgender and gender-diverse people. The day is also used to raise awareness of discrimination faced by the trans community worldwide.
