Locals Dine at Rebranded Former McDonald's Restaurant in Moscow

Patrons dined at several new Vkusno i Tochka restaurants in the Moscow area on June 12, after the former McDonald’s outlets reopened after a rebrand.

Footage recorded by Oleg Mikheev shows crowds outside a former McDonald’s on Pushkinskaya Square in central Moscow.

Russian news agency TASS reported that Vkusno i Tochka, meaning “Tasty and that’s it,” opened 15 locations in and around Moscow on Sunday.

McDonald’s announced that it would temporarily suspend operations in its 850 Russian restaurants on March 8 due to the war in Ukraine. In a statement on May 16, the company announced that it would fully exit the Russian market. Credit: Oleg Mikheev via Storyful
