Here are the locations offering free HIV testing in Central Florida
National HIV Testing Day is just a few weeks away, and the Florida Department of Health in Orange County is partnering with local organizations to provide free HIV/AIDS testing this month.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that all individuals 13 to 64 years old should get tested for HIV at least once during their lifetime. People at increased risk for HIV infection should get an annual test.
June 27 is National HIV Testing Day, and the goal is to raise awareness of the importance of getting tested early to provide the proper form of treatment and care.

The Florida DOH said studies have shown that providing antiretroviral therapy as early as possible after diagnosis improves a patient’s health, reduces transmission, and can eventually lead to undetectable HIV viral loads.
Here are the free and confidential HIV testing events in Orlando this month:
June 1 through June 4 | Double Tree Orlando at SeaWorld from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
June 16 | Mexican Consulate from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If you can’t attend the events, Florida residents can request a free at-home HIV testing kit and locate HIV counseling and referral sites by visiting this website.
