Lodi schools feel strain of teacher shortage impacts

Many classrooms in the Lodi Unified School District are full with enrollment up this school year. At least one second-grade classroom at Woodbridge Elementary is maxed out at 24 students. "We know in overcrowded classrooms, we can't give the kids what they deserve," said Lisa Wilkins, president of the Lodi Education Association. The teachers union represents 1,200 teachers.
