The Loft to host pop-up bars in downtown Scranton

Nov. 30—The Loft, a performance and event venue on Biden Street will begin hosting pop-up bars early next year, owner Jessica Bredbenner said.

The first theme — Love Shack — featuring Valentine's Day-inspired cocktails, craft beers from Last Minute Brewing of Scott Twp., and Pennsylvania wines and liquors — will run each Friday night from Jan. 27 through Feb. 24. Other days may also be considered, Bredbenner said.

The Loft will also serve light bites and snacks from local small businesses.

Reservations are encouraged and will be available during the first week of January.

The cocktail lounge will be transformed into different themes throughout the year, including some geared around different holidays.
