In a split-decision over British fighter Michael "Venom" Page, Logan Storley claimed the interim Bellator Welterweight title inside the OVA Arena Wembley in London on Friday in Bellator 281.

The scores were 48-47, 47-48, 49-46 – in favor of the Webster High School graduate Storley. It's his first mixed martial arts title in his career.

"I've never felt that speed or agility," said Storley. "I saw the big shots coming and I put my head down. They can boo me all they want. I did what I needed to do and now I'm a world champ."

The Page was initially scheduled to face off with Yaroslav Amosov, who withdrew to fight in his home country Ukraine.

In high school, Storley won six state Class B high school wrestling titles and then went to the University of Minnesota earning All-American status for four consecutive years.

Storley is now 14-1 in his mixed martial arts career, winning his last three fights. Storley's lone loss came against Amosov who won via split decision in November 2020.

With the title, Storley joins former Webster wrestler Brock Lesnar as an MMA world champion.
