Logger dies after being hit by falling tree in Eastern Kentucky

A logger died while working in Breathitt County Thursday afternoon, Kentucky State Police said.

Taylor Neace Jr., 40, of Lost Creek, was cutting a tree when it fell and hit him, according to a news release from state police.

State police said they were called to the job site on Williams Road in the Vancleve community at 2:56 p.m. Emergency medical personnel also responded.

The Breathitt County Coroner’s Office pronounced Neace dead at the scene.
