Loggerhead's turtle hospital is back, Jupiter High Dance Team to be in Macy's Parade.
It's Thursday again! Which means it's time for The Post on Jupiter. Hopefully you all have a restful and/or exciting weekend ahead of you. I am trying to start exploring all the fun in Palm Beach County more, now that I'm settled in. If you'd like to be a dear and help steer me in the right direction, answer my google form at the end of this newsletter.
Here's some good news to start this week's roundup: Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach is accepting patients at its turtle hospital again! After a five-month grapple with staffing issues and water quality, the conservation, education and rehabilitation center has its rehabilitation permits restored. Get acquainted with Coral, Loggerhead's newest patient, here.
I must say, having two good news stories on my desk this week was wonderful. Congratulations are in order for Jupiter High School's Dance Team. The Warriors Dancers were invited to New York City to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! Good luck, ladies! I can't wait to see Jupiter represented in the nationally-televised event.
Lastly, if you're not registered to vote in Palm Beach County, the deadline is Oct. 11. The Post's politics editor has put together a guide on how to register to vote in November's election.
As promised, here's your opportunity to weigh in on what I should do and see around town. Pop your two cents into my google form, if you'd be so kind. I'm going to pick one suggestion to try out each weekend, and tell you about them here at the end of my newsletters. I'm looking forward to seeing what places you guys send me to.
Have a stunning weekend, Jupiter!
