🔒 'Not a place I wanted to be': Ex-Nyack coach says accusation he used N-word was racist
Former Nyack football coach Jerell Jones quietly resigned from his position in March following an incident in October in which he says he was falsely accused of saying the N-word to his players following a game. He added that when he sought an apology and accountability from the school's leadership following the accusation, he got different and conflicting messages. Originally quiet about the incident, Jones decided to speak out after Nyack officials began talking about the need to confront racism.

Track & field: Rai Benjamin overcomes obstacles to win hurdles title, qualify for worlds
After battling tendonitis and a bout of COVID that kept him from training for three weeks, it appears that Mount Vernon native Rai Benjamin is getting back into his groove; he qualified for worlds by winning the USATF Outdoor Championships men's 400 hurdles yesterday.
