Gugu Mbatha-Raw is back to try to restore order to the TVA in an exclusive clip from the upcoming episode of Disney+’s Loki.

In the clip embedded below, Mbatha-Raw‘s character Ravonna Renslayer comes back from her stint in the past to rescue the captured TVA elite who are now at the mercy of Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku). Renslayer, who is still a devotee to Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) and his Sacred Timeline, tells the captured workers (and fellow Sacred Timeline devotees) that she can help them escape being B-15’s prisoners and earn a space on the Timeline if they want it.

This season of Loki raises the stakes when it comes to the lore around the Sacred Timeline, Kang, and Loki’s (Tom Hiddleston) place in all of it.

“…We’ve been able to tell more Kang variant-related storytelling than any other project in the MCU to this point,” Loki producer Kevin Wright told Shadow and Act regarding how much this season will reveal about Kang, his lore, and his ultimate plans. “So for us, it was about continuing and paying off the story that we started in Season 1 and, and allowing there to be further fuel for the fire that maybe other stories could tell.”

“It’s hard to say without spoiling where our show goes. But for us, it [telling the Kang variant storyline] was central to the Loki story we’ve been telling for now…over 12 episodes,” he added. “So there’s a lot more there for a story to be told, I think.”

The series also stars Ke Huy Quan as Ouroboros (aka OB), the mechanic behind all of the gadgets in the TVA. The series also stars Eugene Cordero, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, Tara Strong, Neil Ellice, Kate Dickie and Liz Carr.

New episodes of Loki stream Thursdays at 9 p.m. on Disney+.
