Marvel fans, get ready! Loki is coming back!

The bisexual god of mischief got a premiere date for the second season of his self-titled Disney+ show, with the first episode of Season 2 being released on the streamer October 6.

In the first season, MCU fans finally got confirmation that Loki is bi when he had a conversation about past lovers with a female variant of himself. While we’re not holding our breath that his queerness will be further explored this season, there’s always a small chance.

Season 2 sees the return of Tom Hiddleston, as well as stars Sophia DiMartino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Owen Wilson. Oscar-winning Everything Everywhere All at Once star Ke Huy Quan is also joining the cast. It is unknown if Jonathan Majors, who is currently awaiting a court hearing on domestic violence charges, will reprise his role as Kang in the new season.

Marvel also announced that Echo, the spinoff of Hawkeye, will premiere all of its episodes on November 29. Usually, MCU shows air one episode a week.

Echo follows Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox), a deaf, Native American assassin and features a large cast and crew of indigenous actors and creators, including queer Reservation Dogs star Devery Jacobs, and queer and trans director Sydney Freeland.

While the MCU is famous for its barely-there queer representation, including a new character in it’s latest film, Loki saying out loud that he’s been with “princesses” and “princes” is a lot more than a pin on a jacket or a kiss on the forehead. Hopefully, his queerness will continue to be a part of his story.
