The 2022 New London Rotary’s Area United Fund drive is underway with a goal of raising $23,000.

The groups supported by last year’s fund were the Kurz Community Fitness Center, Hospice of North Central Ohio, NL-Greenwich Rail Trail, Golden Agers, Community Child Care Center, Boys and Girls Scouts, Salvation Army, Junior Wildcat Baseball, girls softball, PTO and several school programs.

Donations are tax-deductible, and because the Rotary pays all campaign administrative costs, every dollar goes directly to benefit the organizations chosen to receive funds.

Donations can be sent to NL Rotary, PO Box 43, New London, 44851, or made online at @NLRAUF on Facebook with Paypal.

For more information, contact the co-chairpersons of the campaign: Brad Romano at 419-929-1586 (5154) or Mary Lou Harris at 419-706-8493. Board members are Janet Anderson, Pat Cawrse, Kathy Frombaugh, Karen DeLong, Pam Mencl and Carol Pondy.

The New London United Methodist Church is holding an eat-in or take-out community dinner 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday. The menu will include baked chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, desserts and a beverage. Bingo will begin at 5:45 p.m.

The American Legion Auxiliary, 185 N. Main St., will serve a perch dinner (including coleslaw, applesauce and French fries) 5-7 p.m., Friday. The cost is $14.
