Londoners on Johnson: 'If he's broken the law then bye'

The report by Cabinet Office official Sue Gray may determine the prime minister's future, however, it was not immediately clear when the results of that investigation would be published, especially as police have opened their own investigation.

ITV reported on Monday (January 24) that Johnson and his now wife Carrie had attended a surprise party of up to 30 people for his birthday in the Cabinet Room at Downing Street in June 2020, when indoor gatherings were banned.

Amanda McCreedy, a financial asset manager from South Africa, said on Wednesday (January 26) that Johnson should resign as prime minister if the findings of Gray's report prove he had broken COVID restrictions.

David Garcia, a service consultant from Spain, said the allegations of rule-breaking at Downing Street were upsetting as he had been unable to see his family during lockdown.
