The Lonely Island gets jiggy with a Will Smith medley at MTV Movie Awards

Now, this is a story all about how Will Smith got honored at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards. 

On Sunday night, Smith's decades-long career was honored with MTV's illustrious Generation Award.

And to introduce the star, the network invited The Lonely Island to perform a '90s-inspired medley of Smith's greatest songs. 

It will remind you how much you once loved the Fresh Prince. 

Queen Latifah and Halle Berry then presented Smith with the award, praising him for being a "champion for diversity in Hollywood." 

A teary-eyed Smith accepted the prize, saying he is "dedicated to being a light in this world." 

He also joked that teens today just think of him as Jaden Smith's dad. Truth, Will.
