This long-awaited luxury hotel is about to open in Fort Worth’s Cultural District

Fort Worth’s long-awaited Crescent Hotel is opening this September in the Cultural District.

The district’s first luxury property will open within walking distance of The Modern Art Museum, Kimbell Art Museum and Dickies Arena.

John Goff, owner of Crescent Real Estate LLC, said the hotel will deliver a local experience at the cultural crossroads of a vibrant downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods. Goff has been a driving force behind Texas A&M’s upcoming Fort Worth campus.

“From thoughtful on-property programming and culinary experiences and partnerships with renowned local museums and attractions to a curated art program inspired by international as well as local artists, the hotel experience will serve as Fort Worth’s living room — an extension of the inspired surrounding areas,” Goff said in a release.

The five-story hotel has 200 rooms, 12 of which are luxury suites. Rooms feature lounge seating, a desk and chair, a mini bar. They are also decorated with local artwork and designed with floor-to-ceiling windows. Denver-based OZ Architecture designed the hotel, while Houston-based Rottet Studio led interior design.

The luxury property features several dining options, including upscale Mediterannean restaurant Emelia’s, fine dining option Blue Room at Emelia’s and lobby bar The Circle Bar. Preston Paine of Food Network’s “Ciao House” is the executive chef of Emelia’s.

More than 14,000-square-feet of event space span 10 indoor and outdoor venues, and a courtyard sits at the center of the hotel.

“The hotel’s 8,000-square-foot courtyard will serve as the heart of the community with a custom climate-controlled tent for year-round memorable events, weddings and celebrations, while the grand ballroom, with floor-to ceiling glass doors, creates a space flooded with natural light and indoor-outdoor possibilities,” Robert Rechtermann, general manager of the hotel, said in a release.

A month after the hotel’s opening, the Canyon Ranch Wellness Club will make its debut. The spa has a salon, 10 treatment rooms and a fitness center.

Reservations for stays starting in September are available for booking on the hotel’s website.

This is the first phase in The Crescent’s mixed-use development. The property will eventually also include 170,000-square-feet of office space and nearly 170 luxury apartments.
