Long Check-In Lines, Game Machines Off as 'Cybersecurity Issue' Continues to Affect MGM Resorts

What MGM Resorts called a “cybersecurity issue” was continuing to affect guests’ experiences on September 14, having been reported days earlier by the company.

Footage posted by Rachael Hooks on X shows customers lined up at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, and game machines out of service there.

“Ridiculous check-in queues and casinos down. The MGM hack is causing chaos,” she said.

The company said it was investigating and had notified law enforcement of the issue.

A group calling itself Scattered Spider has claimed responsibility for the hack, according to sources purporting to represent the group who spoke to media outlets. Credit: Rachael Hooks via Storyful
