Long Island Health Care Workers Show Support For LGBTQ+ Community

Dozens of health care workers on Long Island expressed their support for the LGBTQ+ community in a unique way Wednesday.

KRISTINE JOHNSON: Today, dozens of health care workers on Long Island expressed their support for the LGBTQ+ community in a very unique way.

MAURICE DUBOIS: These health care workers at NYU Langone are lending their voices to help in an event called Shouting from the Rooftop. Dozens of staffers lined up in the hospital's parking lot, using themselves to spell out the word "Pride," while others literally shouted from the rooftops.

SAL CANEPA: Today is about celebrating diversity, acceptance here at NYU Langone. And it's not only for our staff. It's for our patients as well, so they feel accepted and cared for here.

MAURICE DUBOIS: The event was part of the Pride Month celebrations to support the LGBTQ+ communities everywhere.
