Long John Silver’s in Scott Township shut down due to ‘sewage system failure’

The Long John Silver’s in Scott Township was forced to close by the Allegheny County Health Department for issues with the sewage system.

According to the report, the restaurant along Washington Pike was ordered to close Friday for an “imminent health hazard created by a sewage system failure.”

The report states a severe sewage odor was present in the vicinity of the restaurant. An inspector noted that raw sewage was coming from the building and flowing into a storm drain.

Plumbing fixtures must be replaced or repaired before the restaurant can reopen.
