A long line of traffic formed as multiple people were seen leaving The Hamptons on August 21, as Hurricane Henri barrelled toward New York.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency for multiple areas across the state as the hurricane was due to hit the East End of Long Island on Sunday.

The National Weather Service warned of a life-threatening storm surge and heavy rain in the area.
