Long stretch of I-25 to close overnight Tuesday at Fort Collins

A major shift will take place Tuesday for drivers along Interstate 25 at Fort Collins as the North I-25 Express Lanes project rumbles on.

Northbound I-25 will be fully closed from 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, to allows crews to shift traffic onto the final phase of construction between Harmony Road and Prospect Road. If necessary, the closure will resume Wednesday night, according to a Colorado Department of Transportation news release.

Detours will be in place and are expected to add 15 minutes of drive time.

Northbound I-25 traffic will use the Harmony Road exit (Exit 265), then turn east and continue east to Colorado Highway 257, and then turn north and continue north to Mulberry Street, and then west and proceed west to the northbound I-25 on-ramp.
