Longaberger awards grants to three entities

ZANESVILLE − The Muskingum County Community Foundation announced additional nonprofits have been awarded grants this fall, thanks to the Longaberger Quality of Life Fund.

Tri-Valley Middle School baseball has been awarded $7,500 for the installation of a commercial grade chain link fence to surround the perimeter of the ball field.

The Muskingum County Social Justice Coalition has been awarded $7,500 for the purchase of equipment such as laptops, a portable projector, printing supplies, and other items to conduct outreach opportunities in the community. Dresden Elementary PTO has been awarded $13,500 for the purchase of iPads for students to use with the new reading curriculum as mandated by the state of Ohio. “We are proud to support early education tools, youth sports, and community building with these three grants,” said Matt Kaido, a representative of the Longaberger family. “Thank you to MCCF for serving as a great cornerstone for project support across Muskingum County.”
